Mr Spokes Bike Hire Car Park to Manuka and Return

This was a scenic bike ride that I did on Sunday 29 January 2012.

Starting at Mr Spokes Bike Hire, Commonwealth Park in Canberra, I took a leisurely ride along the lake shore to Kings Bridge.

Crossing Kings Bridge I continued along the North shore of the lake towards Kingston. I circumnavigated Kingston Shops and then proceeded to Manuka Shops. Circled around the Manuka shops then proceeded towards Parliament House.

Checked out the new and the old Parliament Houses and the Aboriginal Embassy before heading back across Commonwealth Bridge and back to my ute which was parked in the car park next to Mr Spokes.

Mt Rogers – Jan 28 2012 – 3 GoPro Cameras.
This is a loop of the Fitness Track on Mt Rogers (Belconnen – border between Spence and Fraser). I decided to mount on GoPro on the handle bars pointing forwad, one on the luggage rack pointing out towards the views over the lake and the suburbs of Belconnen, and the other one mounted on an arm dangling down around the front wheel.

These Electric Bikes look bloody great, mate !!!!! I cant wait to get mine.

(Although I suspect that you need to be slightly mad to ride a bike this fast on the road or on a track. Might need to check out my insurance cover )

This is something I have not even thought about until yesterday when I had a discussion with Crazy Al from ElectricCarConversionBlog.com about his work with electric cars and electric go-carts. Suddenly I am becoming very excited about the prospect of buying and/or making my own electic bike so that I can get even more video from my GoPro Cameras from the cyclists perspective.
